Biography

Ever since the seventh grade, I knew that all I wanted to do with my life was make music. The trumpet was my instrument of choice. I never imagined that 16 years later I would be in the midst of a career in music and entertainment.

I've been very fortunate to have met a lot of great friends and colleagues through music. After graduating high school, I moved to Philadelphia, PA to study music.

At this point I was very much involved in classical music, although I was exposed to several other styles of music through the free-lancing work I was doing at the time. Sometimes it would seem so strange! One day I might be playing classical music at a wedding ceremony, and the next day I might be playing with a rock band, orchestra, polka band, pit orchestra, brass quintet, herald trumpet group, big band, ........oh...... whatever........ It was all a lot of fun and made me a fairly well rounded musician.

Here's some of the cool stuff I've been involved with:

Currently I live in Reading Pa. I have been teaching and performing throughout the tri-state area for 18 years. In 2003 I formed a seven piece jazz group called Anomaly, which is dedicated to playing the original works of local composers. Since 2003 we have recorded 2 cds , and have performed at the Berks Jazz Fest, Gerald Veasley’s Jazz Base, Viva Goodlife Bistro and Lounge, Union Jacks Inn on the Manatawny, Borders Bookstore, Berks Riverfest, West Chester’s Turkshead Music Festival and Super Sunday Festival, and also at Flavorfest at the Mount Hope Estate and Winery in Lebanon Pa.

Another group I play with is called the Berks Jazz Fest Horns, which is led by Mike Anderson. Over the past 10 years we have performed with Greg Karukas, Gerald Veasley, Rick Braun, Chuck Loeb, Jeff Kashiwa, Richard Elliot, Joe Mcbride, Jason Miles, The LA Chillharmonic, Brian Bromberg, The Heads Up Superband, and Chieli Minucci and Special EFX.

Also for the past 18 years I have played in a herald trumpet group called Mirandola Fanfare trumpets. This group was founded in 1992 by Kevin Rosenberry. The group has performed all over the country including, a performance with The Philly Pops Orchestra for the grand opening of the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, the Ohio Derby, and the Pocono 500 and Pennsylvania 500 Nascar races.

Some other cool gigs I have done include the 2005 National Tour of The Broadway musical 42nd Street. In 2006 I subbed for the North American tour of Mel Brooks The Producers at the Meriam Theater in Philadelphia. I have also Played with Danny Seraphine and his CTA band, and I have also performed with Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

WHAT A WILD RIDE IT HAS BEEN!!!!!!!!!
